PBJ, is ran by a good friend of mine named Mark McDowell. A missionary from Chicago, Illinois. The PBJ stands for Philippine Basketball for Jesus. The ministry is designed to reach some ot the countries poorest places. This one is set in Payatas, which is a trash dump sad to say. The PBJ has a portable basketball hoop, stage, etc. The basketball rim is attached to the jeepney, there is a stage on top. It's actually pretty cool. You can lower the basketball hoop to different heights, so that everyone can dunk. There were Dunk Contests, 3 0n 3 tourneys. There were some missionaries from Moody Bible College there were there as well. They came here on there Spring Break to serve the Filipino people. They were great. It is always a great experience seeing people who have so little but are so happy. Very humbling, will always make you think of how fortunate all of us are.
